Kaizen Curve

The Way of Improvement

About

Kaizen (Japanese: 改善) is the Japanese word for “improvement

(from 改 kai – change, revision; and 善 zen – virtue, goodness)

The whole premise behind Kaizen Curve is inspired primarily by the teachings of renowned Japanese swordsman, philosopher, strategist, artist and author Miyamoto Musashi.

Essentially Kaizen Curve is a personal experiment for myself to follow The Way explained by Musashi in his Book of Five Rings and Dokkodo. A way to hold myself accountable and to put in the time and effort to improve by keeping a running log of aggregated thoughts, findings, and experiences to identify what works and what doesn’t as I navigate learning new skills, researching new topics and ultimately figuring out the best way to communicate these things to anybody who wants to listen.

I hope that along the way any successes and more importantly any failures and mistakes will be of use to others as a resource on their own way to acquiring new skills, learning about new subjects, improving existing abilities and building on to the 300,000+ year long Human project of continuously moving forward, iteratively improving and striving to be better.
